DINOSAUR CONSTRUCTION UNIT

Dinosaur Construction Unit - From the Caves Vol. 1 (Live)
An incredible 74 minute long complete set of improvisation recorded in Miami. First improvisation is 46 minutes going all over the place from fusion to blues to ambient, etc... followed by a nicely eclectic take on the Miles Davis standard Nardis and a final 18 minute improvisation.

Dinosaur Construction Unit - From the Caves Vol. 2
Two studio improvisations. First is a 23 minute riff-oriented jam which they ride for quite awhile with TRex soloing. Second, divided into two parts (23 minutes, 13 minutes), crescendoes to a minor keyed jam, blazing, eventually developing some exploratory passages before calming down to a dub-reggae groove and finishing softly.

Dinosaur Construction Unit - From the Caves Vol. 3
Three studio improvisations. First is a 19 minute open free droning jam in A which hints at grooves before ebbing to openness again. Second improv is a 19 minute funk jam with a long searing solo by TRex and the third (23 minutes) is a sinuous and haunting minor dirgeful jam which at points goes waaaaay out, with bass and guitar fighting and intertwining.

Dinosaur Construction Unit - From the Caves Vol. 4 - Tomorrowland
A 36 minute jam which starts open and free, developing grooves and moving back to openness. Ambience gives way to a downward chromatic jam and then a fusion jam and a final groove kicked in at the end in 7/8.

Dinosaur Construction Unit - Studio CD (as yet untitled)
A collection of studio songs (real songs with words and arrangements and all that), mostly alt-rock.

Andy and Sean McAusland (DCU Unplugged vol 1)
An hour of accoustic music with Andy on National Steel slide, accoustic guitar and vocals and Sean on mandolin and vocals.
The songs range from spirituals to delta blues to bluegrass to eclectic alt-folk.

DINOSAUR CONSTRUCTION UNIT Self-titled first CD.
Five improvisatory instrumental rock and roll tracks featuring members of The Moldy Figs and The Fits. This is where it all started so many years ago...
Loose, informal, irreverent, just perfect.
